Mihir Kumar Singh is an experienced Lead Software Engineer with a passion for building things and solving real customer problems. With a demonstrated history of working in the computer software industry, Mihir has gained expertise in various technologies such as Kafka, Spring Boot, Jenkins, Docker, Spring, Ansible, and Terraform. Currently working at Optum, Mihir is responsible for leading the software engineering team. He has previously worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Optum, where he deployed and managed Kafka as a service to the organization on on-prem VMs and K8s. He also created and managed Spring Boot Application to manage Kafka topics and their access control lists. Mihir used Docker, Jenkins, and K8s for the deployment of SpringBoot application and trained and mentored junior engineers. Mihir has also worked as a Software Engineer at Optum, where he was a platform engineer on the Data Externalization team. He focused on providing necessary tools and expertise to replace legacy mainframe solutions with the modern data platform. He leveraged various tools such as Terraform, Jenkins, Drone, Ansible, and more to automate the build and deployment of various components of the data platform. Mihir also enabled monitoring, observability, and telemetry for platform components as well as customer applications consuming from the platform. Mihir holds a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Computer Science from NIT Raipur, where he graduated in 2019. With 4.20 years of relevant experience, Mihir is a skilled software engineer who loves to solve complex engineering problems.
